I have had two suggestions as to how this phenomenon came about. One person sent me the genetic code that would account for this. The solution I liked the best is that this is not a genetic problem at all but is caused by miss handling. It seems that some one grabbed the babies by the tail and pulled. This caused the tail to become longer and at the same time shortened the ears.

ABOUT THIS SITEOn this site I shall present information for the novice pet rabbit lover, and also the seasoned breeder. In order to achieve this broad area of information I have drawn on many, many, people from all over North America, and indeed the World. Most of these people are members of rabbit related e-mail lists at Yahoo groups. I have tried to choose articles, which deal with their subject in a clear, precise manner, and in language, that all can understand. In addition to drawing on other folk's knowledge I have included articles that I have authored myself. Please read my articles on "Animal Rights"". I will also be adding pictures, and more articles as they become available. Any one who does not believe in evolution has never managed a web page. If you have an article, and/or pictures, or if you would like to see an article on a specific subject e-mail me at jubileeacres@yahoo.com and I will try to accommodate you. I will however reserve the final decision concerning content to myself. |
ABOUT USMy wife and I live on a fifty- acre hobby farm in Southwestern, Ontario, Canada, near the north shore of Lake Erie. After retiring, in nineteen ninety- seven, from thirty years with a big three North American Auto maker I sat around for about a year. This resulted in a major loss of energy not to mention a great deal of boredom. Both my mind and body had began to deteriorate, So I decided to start a hobby, and to support my hobby I took a part time job as a security officer and was stationed at a small building component company. My father in law, Kenneth LeNeve, had a passion for showing poultry, and he tended to rope in every one he came into contact with including his new son in law. Ken taught me a great deal about poultry and from some of his friends I learnt about rabbits. When I started looking for a hobby it was natural for me to go back to my old loves of fur and feather. It is my hope that you find my site interesting and informative. |
